Over Spring Break, Mindy rented a cabin at Pine Lake in Eldora and the kids and I went up for the day to be with her and Aiden. We were hoping for warmer weather but made the best of it anyway. We went for a nice long hike through the trees, had lunch inside the cabin, roasted marshmallows in the fireplace in the cabin and played games with the kids. I'd love to go back there during the fall when all the trees' leaves are changed color.
Lanie's girl scout troop has been working on the Linus Project this year. At troop meetings they make blankets. We made many fleece tie blankets and now we are moving on to blankets we sew using sewing machines. Here is Lanie using the sewing machine. She doesn''t always sew the straightest line, but we have time to work on that:)
Lanie participated in Nevada Dance team's clinic. The high school dance team members were so kind and helpful to her. They practiced afterschool for 90 minutes and then performed at the highschool later that night. Lanie had a wonderful time.
Lanie had her birthday party with friends a little early this year. She wanted a WipeOut cake (that grandma made) and a slumber party. The girls made obstacle courses upstairs, played card and board games, put on a fashion/ dance show for me and watched a movie before bed. I hope everyone had fun, Lanie felt very special.
