May 2018 Happenings

Another Market to Market in the books.  We split into 2 teams and I got to run about 13 miles.  It began to rain as I was finishing the run but it felt good.  It poured as we were going to the finishing party downtown so we packed up and went to a small bar in Ellworth for supper and conversation.  A great way to start Mother's Day weekend:)

Cardboard boxes make the best toys!

Our family date this month was Dog Days at an I-Cubs game.  I wasn't exactly sure how taking Rascal with us out in public would go but he did great.  Matthew got us great seats, right in front.  There were hardly any people in our section and when Rascal would stick his head between the bars he'd get pet and loved on EVERY time.

It was a great 6th grade Music Concert for Lanie.  She even had a speaking part.

Lanie, Matthew and I went down to Celebr-Asian in Des Moines.  Unfortunately it was REALLY hot so we didn't stay long, just long enough to eat and watch a couple dances.  This was one of the Asian culture tents that had good information, pictures, and artifacts inside.
