Happy Father's Day, Matthew! We got him a new disc, stand up mixer and sudoku book. Lanie wrote him a song and Carter and her sang it to him:)
After a few years off, we finally got back to Mike and Shanna's cabin with them. We got there Friday night and enjoyed some WinJim's for supper and then played cards. Saturday we hiked at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park in Minnesota, disc golfed at a 21 hole course and played lots of yard games.
It was unbelievable that we had to say good-bye to our friends Jesse and Betsy Tibodeau this month. They. moved to Marion, but before they did we had a great evening riding bikes with the hubbies to each other's houses for snacks and drinks and ending at Grimms for pizza and sitting around the fire. I hope we stay in touch through bike rides and music for years to come.
It was time to tear off the old deck floor and get ready to lay new. It was nice to work together as a family, each of us chipping in. I had no idea what hard work this project would be.
We were so glad Carter played baseball this season! He played on the JV team, usually 3rd base or outfield but did get to pitch one night too. Pretty strange season as parents had to social distance when watching the game, kids had to wear masks and sit apart on the bus to away games, and do their best to social distance during practice.
A group of us girls have found a way to still get to be together by social distance golfing. We walk the course with a pull cart and laugh at ourselves and our mistakes. This month we went to Indian Creek Country Club but we'd like to try out different courses too.
