June 2015 Happenings

Began June and the summer with some great runner-friends and ran Relay Iowa for the 2nd time.  This time I was able to run 30 miles, which is more than last year!  More than blessed to have been able to meet this accomplishment and make some great friends!

I have to beg the kids to help me with gardening but here they are pulling peas for me to later cook for Lanie:)

Much of our June was spent at the baseball and softball fields.  Carter pitched a lot more this year, and did a really nice job when he did.  Lanie played all positions but her favorite was definitely catcher because she got to dress up in the "costume".

The National Junior Highschool Rodeo put on an event for Gigi's Playhouse and their families where the kids got to experience many aspects of the rodeo.  This included roping, riding horses, and riding pretend bulls.  The junior high kids were so excited to work with us, it was fun to see:)

My colleague - family (minus two) for the year!  Can't wait to teach, learn from, and do good for kids with these amazing women!
