July 2015 Happenings

Lanie walked in the 4th of July parade with her girl scout troop.  It was the perfect distance, just long enough to wear her out but totally do-able.  Carter watched and cheered for her with our friends.

As soon as Matthew got off work on the 4th of July, we drove to Rathbun to meet the Olsons and Grimms at the Olson cabin.  We got out the slip and slide and played a game of kickball.  After fireworks, Carter and Lanie went to the tent and Matthew and I got to catch up with friends around the campfire.

Carter went to Y-camp for the first time July 5 - 11.  He stayed in Frontier cabin.  He made lots of friends and had lots of new experiences.

While Carter was at y-camp, Lanie and I went to Kansas City to visit Nicole, Ellie, and Claire.  It was wonderful hanging out and relaxing at their house, seeing where Nicole works, and visiting the aquarium.

It's a summer tradition, snow cones with the cousins at the county fair.
