December 2017 Happenings

We enjoyed our time together fulfilling the activities from the Advent calendar.  Some of the kids' favorites included; setting up the Christmas tree together, drinking Grinch Punch while watching The Grinch,  building gingerbread houses, having a photo taken with Santa, and hot cocoa bar while watching Elf.   It was a busy but wonderful month, full of memories.

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Dodd's included a yummy meal, lots of delicious snacks, gift opening and BINGO.  

The kids woke us up with a cup of coffee in bed by 6:30AM.  We went lighter on the gifts this year but the kids didn't seem to mind.  I asked them for a couple things they wanted, needed, a couple things to wear and a couple things to read.  Big items were a fishing chair for Carter, Pogo stick for Lanie, and Fingernail Painting kit for Kaleigh.  Matthew seems to like his new robe (wearing it in the picture) and I am loving my new tank tops and body spray. 

We celebrated the January family birthdays a little early so that Mom and Dad could take off for Florida by having everyone over to our house for cake and pizza.  Kids mostly wanted money to spend:)  Soon, Carter will be 14 and Kaleigh and Colyn 13!
