Lots of birthday celebration this month! Carter took the family to HyVee for his birthday, as he wanted Chinese. When we broke out into song at HyVee, Carter was so embarrassed he climbd under the table to hide. Kaleigh and Colyn took the family to Hickory Park. Carter got ice cream and sung to there also:)
Imrie and Aubrey came over for a play date with Lanie on a Sunday afternoon.
Lanie and I went to the Girl Scout She and Me while Matthew took Carter sledding for his birthday. We learned how to create a panda bear out of cupcakes. They had to-go containers for us to take them home in, but neither us could wait to eat the yummy cakes!
Courtney, Griffin, and Bella took us as guests to Iowa State University swimming. It was ALOT of fun and a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Lanie got to kick off the boot and move around freely in the water.
This great group of girls had our first freezer cooking night. This was at the very end. As you can tell, we are all so exhausted we are delirious. It was so much fun helping each other chop, combine, and still chatting. I took home 5 delicious meals with big leftovers.
Carter wanted to go sledding with Griffin and Keegan for his 12th birthday. It was only about 10 degrees out, but they were out in it for the whole 2 hours. They came back to the house and had pizza and Grandma's red velvet Vikings cake for supper. Lots of video games, ping pong, and nerf guns were played that night:)

Mommy's comments about 11 year old Carter - I love how Carter is stuck between between being a grown man and a little boy right now. There are times he's such a pill; whining, crying, struggling when he is wrong about somethingetc. Then there are times when he is the sweetest gentleman. He'll go to the grocery store with one of us, check up on r play babies with Lanie, snuggle on the couch with me to watch House, snuggle in bed at night to read and ask questions about what it means.
