Rollerskating and Easter

We had the Dodd-side Easter on Saturday for brunch.  Mom made sausage gravy and biscuits, coffee cake, little smokies, ham, tator tots, Casey's breakfast pizza, fruit, and so much more I can't even remember.  It was delicious!  The kids got just-the-right amount of candy, new pajamas, and a new beach towel in their Easter baskets.  It didn't take long before all the kids had on their new pjs:)  Since it was raining, we had the egg hunt inside the house.  Lanie helped hide eggs, but still had fun finding them.  Thanks Dwight and Daddy for stuffing the eggs Friday night, it was very appreciated.  After the kid egg-hunt, there was an adult egg-hunt with lottery tickets.  There were $20 worth of tickets and we got back $3:)

We left around noon and decided to go down to Incrediroll in Des Moines to try rollerskating as a family.  It was awesome!!  I may be just saying that because it made me feel young again:)It took both kids a little while to get used to it, but once they did, I think they had fun.  Lanie held Matthew or my hand most of the time until we found the middle circle where she could just skate by herself and we could keep an eye on her.  Lanie and I did the Limbo a couple rounds and Matthew and I were trying to teach Carter how to "sit-down" in skates.  A great way to spend a rainy afternoon.

This is toward the end when both kids were more confident:)
