It's hard to believe my baby boy is 9! He is growing into a good, strong young man that loves to learn and cares about his family with all his heart. He is beginning to speak up for himself more, but still struggles with how to handle constructive criticism and not doing things perfectly the first time. This year for his birthday he wanted the theme to be WWE and he wanted a sleepover at the house. Once he told me that, I was excited to get out there and find ideas:) Unfortunately, not a lot of ideas that don't include being rough or aggressive, but we found a couple. We started the party with each of the kids either choosing a mask from the Halloween costume box or coloring their own from some I had printed off the internet. They also had to think up a new wrestling name for themselves; Alex Ryder (Carter), Lada - Lada (Lanie), The Goblin (Kaelan), The Devil (Colyn), Awesome Lauren (Lauren), Daniel the Destroyer (Daniel), Miss Nosey (Kaleigh), Dinosaur King (Ethan), Wicked Will (Will) and Bafoonish Brant. Here's a video of the kids being introduced by their new name in their masks and doing their signature move at the end for the adults.
We played, the ever popular limbo and a version of Simon Says that uses a WWE guys name.
Grandma Barb made this awesome cake!!
Carter was given mostly WWE guys and Legos. He saved up his birthday money to buy himself a Kindle Fire too.
We are so thankful for everyone that was able to come celebrate with us that night.
