Opening thoughts

My husband bought me a green, celtic journal for Christmas along with many other Irish related things, as we prepared for our Ireland trip.  I've never kept a journal on a vacation before as an adult, but used to keep a diary as a kid and wrote in it daily when I went to Y-camp.  I can honestly say it was the best thing for me and will continue this journal without reserve whenever I travel.  I am super forgetful and especially in a country with city names I have no connection to, I can't remember the name of what I saw or where I saw it.  I wrote down every detail as I didn't want to forget any magical thing.  So mostly this blog is for me, it won't hurt my feelings if you skip any or all of it.  But maybe it will convince you to travel, it was the most inspiring thing I've ever done.  It really put in perspective for me how amazing this world is and what a small part of it I am.  I realized how much I love to be active and outside.  It also helped me see as part of my mission in life to share this love and inspiration with my children.  We only live once, and I want Carter and Lanie to see as many magnificent things that I can share with them.  I am blessed to have a husband that agrees:)
