The first weekend in February was Nevada High School's Crystal Ball. Carter was so kind to ask if he could take Lanie for the first hour. It was so sweet it about made me cry. But . . . Lanie has been and continues to be sick so after buying her a dress and shoes, when Saturday morning came she declined:( He went with Seth and stayed for about an hour and then came back to the house to hang out.
We used our first Civic Center season tickets with Lynchs to see Tootsie. We add some beers and great food at Iowa Tap Room first. Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 of us had Covid by mid-week. I slept in Lanie's room for a week and Matthew went crazy being secluded in our bedroom. He survived and we continue to live in a pandemic world.
Matthew's at-home Covid test. Supposed to take 15 minutes to see the 2nd line, his took about 30 seconds.
Mid- February we got to hear Lanie and the chorus at Tope Auditorium for a concert. They sang many Disney songs and Lanie looked so happy. It was so good to hear live music at Tope again:)
So much of February was spent at Tope Auditorium for Lanie. She hung in there for some really late nights (9:15, but late for us). She worked so hard to learn where to stand, what to sing, how to act, and what to dance. The cast and directors were absolutely amazing to her and she can't wait for another show.
The hammock on the cat tree is getting used more and more by Frisbee.
