Lanie got her second Covid-19 Pfizer shot on the last day of school. She took it like a pro, no tears, nothing. Matthew and I are breathing huge sighs of relief and hope as we are now ALL vaccinated (including cousins, Shannon, and Mom) and we feel much safer leaving the house.
Lanie joined the first Miracle League softball team in Ames. We are SO excited for the opportunities this may bring her socially, emotionally, and physically. The Lynch's even came with us one Saturday to cheer her on! Liam went out on the field for one of the innings to be her angel.
Lanie danced Jazz/ Hip Hop in her dance recital the first weekend in June to Big Bang Theory Theme song. She did an awesome job and we were so proud of her. Lucie and Lanie practiced quite a bit the last 2 weeks before recital and Lucie even went to watch her for the second recital.
Uncle Rob, Aunt Jolene and Robert stayed at mom's house a couple nights when they came to Ames for Robert's freshman orientation. We've now seen them 3 times in about a month, more than about 10 years combined! Robert says he's going into something with agriculture. We had a great time going out for supper with them at Hickory Park. It also was the first time we'd gone out to eat as a family since before Covid.
Lanie and Carter have been to the Aquatic Center quite a bit this month! I'm so glad it's open this year for the kids. Lanie has also been going to the pool in Slater for ChildServe Day Camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Lynches and us went to see Burnin' Sensations at Prairie Moon Winery on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The music was great, sangria and wine delicious, and it was so fun to watch Ellie and Liam run around with all the kids. We went to Giangelos after and had our favorite, Spicey Natomelli pizza:)
Awesome weekend with friends and family in Minnesota at Old Barn Resort and Campground. We completed what we are calling the Lanesboro Triathlon. . . Hiking, Biking, and Tubing, all in the same day! I was in heaven! Tubing is going to have to be added to our list of things we love to do when we camp! I was so glad Colyn came with us even with the torn ACL and on crutches. This place might have to be on our yearly list:)
