We celebrated my 41st, Lanie's 15th and Laurie's birthdays at Mom's house with the family along with easter. Lucie and Lanie had stuffed the eggs with candy (just like Dad used to) and they had fun hiding them for everyone to find. I love to see the 5 of them playing basketball together.
We made it to the High Trestle Bridge bike trail in April for a family bike ride. We went the furthest we'd ever gone together on that trail. Lanie had a pretty scary crash on her "new" bike where she forgot to pull the breaks and then was pretty scared afterwards to get back on. We'll keep trying and I think for longer bike rides we'll just take the incumbent bike.

The cats really started to enjoy the warm sun and views from the porch this spring (me too).
Boy did we do some cleaning out. We decided to start with the garage and filled the dumpster once, and then moved inside to the house and filled it again. We thought we'd possibly be downsizing to a smaller house or apartment but have put that on hold for now. It still was a much needed thing and we've only missed 2 or 3 of the things we tossed.
Nanette came to teach Lanie's girl scout troop about eating locally. They made omelettes and we all learned a lot about buying locally.
