September 2015 Happenings

When I found out Carter was heading to the Ames Aquatic Center on the last day it was open (Labor Day) I packed up Lanie and her playdate to go too.  It was a beautiful time and so much easier now that Lanie is taller and a stronger swimmer.

The best thing about the Iowa Hawkeyes vs Iowa State football games?  Spending time with friends:)  Had a great time at Lynch's:)

I was so excited when my little boy asked me to run the Flap Jack again with him this year.  We only trained together once a week this summer and then when football started, we quit.  But he did great!  He ran nearly the whole 3.1 miles and this mama was super proud.  Hope we get to run many more runs together as he continues to get stronger and build stamina.

Matthew took the day off to go with Lanie to her He and Me for girl scouts.  They forgot to take pictures (of course) but had a wonderful time together doing the 3-legged race and some other games that were at the community building for them.  Also enjoyed root beer floats before stopping at the park to play for a while.

The last 5 Sunday afternoons have been spent watching Carter play football.  I can't believe its his last year as a Titan!  Where did those 4 years go?!!  He mostly plays center, new this year is lots of shotgun snaps, but he's gotten very good at them.
