September 2014 Happenings

Lanie's artwork from school

Lanie's class got to go to Living History Farms to learn about the community of Walnut Hill in 1875.  I was so happy her associate took this picture for me of Lanie in the school.

We let Lanie invite a  friend over one afternoon and after playing at our house for a while I wanted to get the two outside so we went to Hickory Grove to play on the playground.  It's so funny how just sitting on the outside of this tube and looking through a bag she brought from home of toys can be so fun:)

Every Sunday in September has been devoted to football for our son.  He has grown tremendously in his skills and shows great leadership on the team too.  I love the team-building the coaches have done and because of this Carter has begun to make some new friends.  They ended the regular season undefeated and are invited to play in the Championship playoffs at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines.

Carter was invited to one of his good friend's 10th sleepover birthday party.  The theme was mustaches and it looks like they had a great time playing video games, football, and hitting the pinata and getting candy.
