The kids spent 2 1/2 hours each morning this week at Nature Camp out at McFarland Park. The Naturalists there are awesome! They use songs, literature, hands on activities, and reflection to teach the kids about nature topics. Carter's group learned all about insects. They took hikes, went to the Reiman Gardens Butterfly garden, and even got in the pond to learn about bugs:) Lanie's group learned about different types of animals; mammals, fish, birds, and insects. They too got in the pond, took hikes, and made crafts.
