Matthew and my gift to eachother for Valentine's Day this year was going to the I have a voice Gala at the Marriott in Des Moines. We splurged and stayed the night too:) Our good friends Mindy and Jeremy went with us. It was a wonderful night filled with tears, laughter, lots of talking, and dancing. Thanks to my amazing sewing mom, she cut off my junior year prom dress to turn it into a cocktail dress! Matthew even had to buy a suit for the occasion (his first ever):) Hopefully the event raised a lot of funds for Gigi's playhouse, a place that helps promote awareness and acceptance of individuals with Down Syndrome.
